Matthew M. Reese, PhD, DC, CN
Dr. Reese graduated from the University of Western States (UWS) with a degree in Chiropractic Medicine and is a National Board Certified Chiropractor. He also earned a postdoctoral certificate in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine at UWS. His previous degrees in mathematics, physics, and computer science are combined with a completed pre-medical curriculum and genetics research background from Arizona State University (ASU).
Previously, he coauthored books and papers on podiatric medicine, specifically, multiple iteology heel pain and lower extremity neurological diseases with the Brown Hand and Barrett Foot and Ankle Centers. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Reese served for over twenty years as a software engineer and research scientist. He has a long history of proven mathematical-based problem solving and scientific computing research experience with government agencies (NASA Hubble Space Telescope), large corporations (AT&T, Verizon Wireless, GTE), and universities (Duke, Johns Hopkins).
Dr. Reese belongs to many professional organizations including the Washington State Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, The National Society of Leadership, American Medical Student Association, United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association, and United States Acro-gymnastics Federation.
Dr. Reese was a member of the 1979-80 USA trampoline team. He was a competitive collegiate diver, baseball player, and gymnast. He enjoys sailing, skiing, and cycling. He understands sports injuries and successful conservative care. He enjoys speaking on topics of current and past interests to large and small groups. He has been married for nearly 40 years and he and his wife raised four children.
He believes that his patients benefit when they are educated and motivated to be part of a team solution for better health and vitality through a combination of both chiropractic care and functional medicine.
